His parents invested heavily and he was awesome with his academics, hence he was into investment banking. Even when he started his company, his parents were his first investors

Extraordinary Vision

Many people in mid 90s knew about the internet thing and the way it can transform things. But Bezos’s vision was not ordinary. He thought about trading and creating customer base through internet. The outside world would think, people order, a great deal of logistics and shipping crap happen in between and boom, things reach; what a wierd thing. But Bezos wasn’t the case. He quit his IB job at age 29 , and started working on idea. He admitted that if failed, he can get back to IB anytime bit if internet thing is gone it wouldnt come back, he visioned potent of internet amazingly well

His execution and feedback mechanism were even better. He was absolutely obsessed with customer satisfaction working day and night and beared losses straight for 5 years, but he never left his inner instincts. His idea of creating warehouse as a response to Walmart was really gutsy and it paid off, hats off execution

This is where no one had control. Amazon flew like fire. There are very very few unicorns with such rapid growing history. He kind of ruled both internet and retail industry. And rest is just history
