Balen shah -sidewalk is for walking and the road is for vehicles (with video)

Kathmandu Metro Mayor Balen Shah regarding the use of Footpaths says, “Pregnant women and visually impaired friends complained a lot to us that the footpath is for walking. There is no place to walk except on the footpath, because pregnant women have to go down one step and go up again. There was a problem up to miscarriage. Especially during the festival, there is no other place to walk except on the sidewalk… When walking on the road, there was also a problem of blind people being hit by cars. That’s why the sidewalk is for walking and the road is for cars.”
