Cristiano’s age has finally caught up
Looks like Cristiano’s age has finally caught up to him. Feels sad watching him play, almost a shadow of the mercurial player he once was, who used to toy with defences and embarrass goal keepers. Truly an end of an era, and what a great one it was.
Time is such, it doesn’t stop for anyone, not even for the great Cristiano Ronaldo. The morale of the story for all of us is, while you’re young and able, take all your chances, keep fighting for what you dream for. Because before long, our body won’t allow us to do as we wish.
And Cristiano, you are a legend. It doesn’t matter if you don’t score a single goal this season, we will still remember you as the man who scored 450 goals in 9 seasons for Real Madrid. As the player who single handedly made Portugal a fearsome side in international football, breaking record after record with the national team. As the player who destroyed the biggest teams in Europe, again and again. As the player who defied fate, and won five Ballon d’Ors rivaling a player who perhaps was the most talented to ever walk on a football pitch, with sheer hard work and dedication.
Cristiano, you are an idol to all of us. A lot of us try to face life as you do because we witnessed what sheer self belief, confidence and hard work brought you. For that, and for what you did for our beloved club, we are ever grateful. All of us hope you are able to fight back this dip in form like you have many times before, and end your career in a high.
Cristiano Ronaldo is 37, that is something people should realise. Age catches up to everyone and his time is also coming to an end. Cherish him in his final years because football, not just Manchester, will miss Cristiano Ronaldo once he hangs up his boots 🇵🇹🙌
